Announcing 2017 Board of Directors

swimming pool northeast huntsville, alabama

Thank you to our membership for voting in the Board election. Your involvement in member activities such as voting is important for the future success of Chapman Pool.

A special “Thank You” and Congratulations to our members who will serve on the 2017 Board of Directors. These members have graciously volunteered their time and talents to our pool community. But, as you know, it takes all members supporting the Board’s leadership efforts to maintain the quality and family-friendly pool we all enjoy. Additional volunteer opportunities will be announced in the coming months; please consider areas where you can help as preparations begin for opening day in May 2017.

As one season ends, another begins. There is much to be grateful for during the 2016 season: Pool finances are more secure, several maintenance issues have been repaired, and membership is strong. Staffing and pool operations also have been improved, marketing efforts have resulted in new memberships, and the Chapman Cheetahs swim team continues to grow – not only in numbers, but in swimming skills that will benefit your children for life.

A special note of “thanks” to Bear Bryant, Steve Hoyt, and Dave McCullough who have worked tirelessly to maintain the pool, which has been no easy task given the conditions they overcame in Spring 2014 to repair and restore the pool due to maintenance neglect. Bear and Steve are taking a well-deserved break from Board duties.

As President these past three years, I thank you for supporting the Board as we worked together to revitalize our pool community and continue the tradition of Chapman Pool. You are in great hands with the 2017 Board as more success is still to come.
